TBJ Goes 4-0 Over Weekend

Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors Premier and Elite teams both went 2-0 over the weekend with each winning Saturday verse the Florida Blades and then Sunday verse the Florida Eels in Fort Myers.
TBJ Elite was led by Aiden Kennedy's four goals, including the hat trick Saturday.  The Premier team was led by the goaltending tandem of Daniel Kortenhaus and Connor Green as they shut down the Blades and Eels respectively.  Saxon Greene led the offense with four goals and one assist, also getting a hat trick Saturday night.
Both teams will be getting ready for the Florida Showcase coming up this weekend.  Tampa will be hosting the USPHL event, which will have 24 teams playing Friday-Monday at the Florida Hospital Center Ice.

Saturday 12/8/18 at FHCI
TBJ Elite 13  Florida Blades 4

TBJ Elite would score six third period goals to blow out the Blades 13-4.  Kennedy would net the hat trick with Zach Parker, Matt Menkhaus and Jack Mazur each chipping in two goals.  

TBJ Premier 7  Florida Blades 3
TBJ Premier scored four straight goals in the third period after the Blades had tied the game 3-3.  Greene scored the Hat trick to seal the victory.  Paul Flidr had two goals with Spencer Geer and Mateusz Wawrzkiewicz getting the others.  Kortenhaus had 18 saves for the win.

Sunday 12/9/18 at Skatium
TBJ Elite 3  Florida Eels 2  O.T.

Mazur scored the game winner 26 seconds in overtime to give Tampa the win in a match up for first place in the Florida Division.  Kennedy opened the scoring with his 4th goal of the weekend and Aymery Larson added the other.  Shaun Hatton made 41 saves as TBJ Elite moved 3 points ahead of the Eels for first place.

Goalie Connor Green made 56 saves in Tampa's win over the Eels.  Zack Puterbaugh, Ken Malinoski, Mark Louria and Greene all scored for TBJ.
