Elite Wins in a Rout; Premier Loses in Shootout

Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors Hockey Club took on the DME Academy Swamp Rabbits Sunday at the Florida Hospital Center Ice.  TBJ Elite won in a rout scoring 6 goals in the first period in its 11-1 win.  The Elite team was led by Zach Parkers two goals and 2 assist and Kevin Holmans four assist.
TBJ Premier would lose 6-5 in a shootout verse the first place Swamp Rabbits.  Tampa was led by Saxon Greene's two goals and one assist and Tyler Schaeffer's one goal and two assist.
Bothe the Elite team and Premier team head to Boston this weekend for the Islanders Showcase where they will take on teams from the Northern Divisions.

Jack Mazur, returning from an injury, opened the scoring and Tampa never looked back.  Parker and Holman each had 4 points in the 11-2 rout.  Mateusz Wawrzkiewicz and Connor Reed each added a goal and two assist. Trent Gephart also scored two goals with Alex Higginbotham in net for the win.

TBJ Premier 5  DME 6  Shootout
In his return to TBJ, Greene would tie the score late, with his second goal but DME would win the shootout 2-1.  Paul Flidr opened the scoring for Tampa with Schaeffer and Patrik Tuma each getting two of Tampa's three power play goals.
