Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors are proud to announce that Premier Goaltender, Lane Skon has committed to Liberty University. The Flames, located in Lynchburg, VA, are an ACHA power house with teams at the Division I, II & III levels.

"We are very proud of Lane and his commitment to Liberty."   Stated Head Coach Garrett Strot.  "Lane came to the rink every day prepared and ready to compete!  He will push hard for a starting spot at Liberty and will be a great asset to their program."

Lane, from Palmetto, FL, came home to Tampa after a couple of years out west and posted a 9-3 record and an .875 save % for TBJ.  He will be joining TBJ teammates Nate Albers and Truett Olson who committed to Liberty earlier.

"TBJ gave me all the tools and opportunities I needed to improve my game."  remarked Skon.  "Coach Glen Murphy was a vital part in helping build my confidence and truly find my game.  I am a better goaltender and most importantly a better person for having played there."

"I think Lane's favorite quote from Ecclesiastes sums up what makes him the person he is." continued Strot.

"For the race is not given to the swift or the strong, but the one who endures."
-Ecclesiastes 9:11

The Tampa Bay Juniors want to wish Lane and his family the continued success as he continues his hockey journey!!
