Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors are proud to announce that Premier Forward, Mark Louria, has committed to play hockey next season for the University of Pittsburgh.  Pitt is an ACHA Division I program that plays in the College Hockey Mid-America Conference.

Mark, originally from Wexford, PA, now resides in Sarasota, FL and is returning to his home state for college.  "This is a great opportunity for Mark," said Head coach Garrett Strot.  "He had many offers from NCAA D3 schools but the pull of going back home brought him to Pitt."

Louria played two years for Tampa.  In 2017-18 Mark led the Elite team in scoring with 24 goals, 42 assist for 66 points.  This past season he was the second leading scorer on the Premier Team with 16 goals and 26 assist for 42 points.

"Mark was always one of the hardest workers both on the ice and off the ice", continued Strot.  "He was a player that went to the dirty areas, that's why he had such offensive numbers because he wasn't afraid to play around the net."

The Tampa Bay Juniors want to wish Mark and his family the best of luck as he continues on with his hockey and college career!

Louria is the 12th Tampa player to commit to a college for the 2019-20 season.
