Tampa Bay Juniors - USPHL

Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors Premier and Elite Teams once again played home and home series with the DME Swamp Rabbits over the weekend.  TBJ Elite would see both games go to a shootout with each team winning at home.  Saturday saw DME Goalie, Nilsson stop 61 shots before Roco Selivanov would be the only shootout scorer to give Tampa the win.  In the rematch Sunday, Nilsson once again came up big as he had 49 saves in DME's win.  The two teams meet again next Sunday in Daytona.

Friday 1/11/19 At Daytona
TBJ Premier 5  DME 9
The recently line put together of Zack Puterbaugh, Metej Dejdar and Paul Flidr would combine for 3 goals and 9 points but DME's 4 goals in the last 7 minutes of the game broke open the tight game.

Saturday 1/12/19 At FHCI
TBJ Elite 2  DME 1  Shootout
Tampa would fire 62 shots on goal but only Jonny Scheer would beat Nilsson in regulation.  Selivanov finally scored as the 4th shooter of the shootout to give Tampa the victory.  Nolan Kare had 11 saves for Tampa.

TBJ Premier 2  DME 3
Dejdar and Flidr each scored with Puterbaugh getting 2 assist but DME would score the game winner with one minute to go in the game to get the series sweep. 

Sunday 1/13/19 At Daytona
TBJ Elite 4  DME 5  Shootout
Brody Horoshak, Tim Ruf, Selivanov and Trent Gephart each scored but DME Goalie Nilsson turned away 49 shots and all 3 shootout attempts by Tampa to give DME the split.
