TBJ Premier and Elite Each go 2-1-1 at Islanders Showcase

Tyngsboro, MA - The Tampa Bay Juniors Premier and Elite Teams just wrapped up the Islanders Showcase over the weekend with both teams going 2-1-1.
TBJ Premier would start the showcase off with two wins over the Hudson Havoc and the Philadelphia HC 3-2 and 4-2 respectively.  The last two games saw TBJ Premier drop a 5-2 game to the Skipjacks HC and a 2-1 ot loss to Jersey shore as they wrapped up there third game in 16 hours.
TBJ Elite would drop its first two games, losing 4-1 to the Northern Cyclones and 2-1 in overtime to the host Islanders HC, which might have been the most exciting game of the showcase.  TBJ Elite then won it's next two; 5-3 over the Junior Bruins and ending the showcase by trouncing Hartford 12-0.

Both teams now have Thanksgiving week off and return next week before a series with the Florida Blades December 1st and 2nd.

Friday 11/16 @ Skate 3
TBJ Elite 1  Northern Cyclones 4

Roco Selivanov scored Tampa's lone goal in the loss to the Cyclones

TBJ Elite 1  IHC 2 O.T.
Brody Horoshak scored to give Tampa the lead but IHC would tie it to force overtime.  The game featured up and down action with teams trading scoring chances.  Both teams would get overtime power plays before IHC capitalized for the win.

TBJ Premier 3  Hudson Havoc 2  O.T.
Paul Flidr second goal of the game was the game winner in overtime as Tampa beat midwest division leader hudson.  Tyler Schaeffer also scored and Dan Duncan assisted on all three goals.  Tyler Roy made 23 saves in the win.

Saturday 11/17
TBJ Elite 5  Jr Bruins 3

Selivanov scored two goals as Tampa knocked off the Jr Bruins.  Zach Parker, Matt Menkhaus and Ken Malinoski also added goals with Nolan Kare in net for his second win of the showcase.

TBJ Premier 4  Philadelphia 2
Tampa totally controlled play from the beginning as they would fire over 30 shots on goal in the first half alone as they built a 2-0 lead with goals from Mark Louria and Schaeffer.  CJ Jensen and Mateusz Wawrzkiewicz scored in the second half and goalie Daniel Kortenhaus sealed the win.

Sunday 11/18
TBJ Premier 2  Skipjacks HC 5

Schaeffer and Ethyn Chadwell scored to put Tampa within one, but the Skipjacks got 2 empty net golas to seal the win.

TBJ Premier 1  Jersey Shore 2  O.T.
Starting its 3rd game in 15 hours, Tampa would drop their last game of the showcase 2-1 in o.t.  Horoshak would score Tampa's lone goal.

TBJ Elite 12  Hartford 0
Tampa would end the showcase with a 12-0 trouncing of Hartford.  Parker, Kyle Ciaccio and Jackson Drysdale each scored hattricks in the rout.  Tim Ruf added two goals anf Matt Menkhaus the other as both Shaun Hatton and Alex Higginbotham split duties in net for the win.
