TBJ Split With Blades

Estero, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors played a single game series with the Florida Blades Friday night, with the Elite team coming away with a 9-3 victory and the Premier Team losing a tough one 2-1.   TBJ Elite was led by Aymery Larson's 2 goals in the first period and Tampa never looked back.  TBJ Premier would lose a heart breaker when Florida scored with 26 seconds left to break the 1-1 tie despite Tampa having 60 shots on goal.

Both teams head to Chicago for the Midwest Showcase.  The Elite team will once again play teams from the Mid Atlantic, while the Premier team will play teams from the Mid West Division.

Friday 10/5/18  at Germain Arena

TBJ Premier 1  Florida Blades 2
Florida Blades goalie Patrik Lietava had 58 saves to stymie Tampa's attack.  Zach Puterbaugh would score Tampa's lone goal on the power play and Florida would get the game winner on a break away with 26 seconds remaining in the game.

TBJ Elite 9  Florida Blades 3
Larson opened the game with 2 goals to get Tampa going.  Roco Selivanov and Jack Mazur also would each score two with Carson Schuldt, Vincent Margosian and Tim Ruf each netting one.  Nolan Kare and Alex Higginbotham were each in net for the win.
