Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors, proud members of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) are pleased to announce that Premier Defenseman Alec Murano has committed to play hockey at ACHA Div II Concordia University, WI for the 2018-19 season.

Alec, from Whitefish Bay, WI, played 2 seasons for the Tampa Bay Juniors.  In 2016-17 Alec came late in the season netting 11 points in 11 games as a forward.  This past season Murano played defense and played in 47 games with 3 goals and 26 assist.

“Alec was a huge part of our success last year,”  said Head Coach Garrett Strot,  “We were thin on defense at the beginning of the season and Alec stepped in and helped make it a strength of our team.   He made the transition smoothly to defense where he became very good at making outlet passes and joining the rush as his 26 assist attest.”

The Tamp Bay Juniors wish Alec and his family the best of luck as he continues his hockey career.

Alec is the 11th TBJ player from last season to commit to a college to play hockey next season.
