Tampa Bay Juniors Sweep Typhoon Hockey Club in Dominant Weekend Performance

The Tampa Bay Juniors Hockey Club delivered a commanding weekend across both the Premier and Elite divisions, sweeping the Typhoon Hockey Club in a four-game series split between AdventHealth Center Ice and the Palm Beach Skate Zone.

Elite Team Stays Red-Hot, Extends Record to 16-0-1

Saturday, 12/6 — TBJ Elite 12, Typhoon HC 0

The TBJ Elite squad opened the weekend with an explosive 12–0 shutout Saturday at AdventHealth Center Ice. Eleven different Juniors found the back of the net in a showcase of offensive depth.

Reilly Faucher led the attack with 2 goals and 2 assists, while Chase Koski added 1 goal and 4 assists. Colin Lefebvre contributed 3 assists.  Goaltender Rocco Ciro stopped all 13 shots he faced to secure the shutout.

Sunday, 12/7 — TBJ Elite 7, Typhoon HC 3

The Elite offense stayed hot Sunday in Palm Beach, earning a 7–3 victory. The line of Lefebvre, Faucher, and Koski once again paced the offense, combining for 3 goals and 3 assists.

In net, Nolan Sloan made 20 saves to close out the weekend sweep.

With the two wins, the Elite team improves to a league-best 16-0-1 on the season.

Premier Team Battles to Earn Weekend Sweep, Returns to .500

Saturday, 12/6 — TBJ Premier 4, Typhoon HC 1

The Premier squad matched the Elite energy with a strong 4–1 win Saturday. Tampa Bay received goals from Weston Herman, Ethan Palso, Brady Lane, and Jakob Kurka.

Goaltender Konsta Hiltunen turned aside 26 shots to secure the victory.

Sunday, 12/7 — TBJ Premier 5, Typhoon HC 3

Sunday’s rematch brought more drama. Tied 3–3 late in the third period, Ettu Heinonen buried the game-winner with 3:01 remaining, helping lift TBJ to a 5–3 win.

Five different Juniors scored, highlighted by Weston Herman (1G, 1A) and Owen Vachon (1G, 1A). Ethan Palso added two assists, continuing a productive weekend.  Jett Loechler made 26 saves to secure the sweep.

With the pair of wins, the Premier squad climbs back to 8-8-1, reaching the .500 mark.

Both the Elite and Premier teams return to action next week as they take on the Florida Blades, looking to continue their momentum as the season rolls on.  Friday's Games are in Estero, FL at the Hertz Arena and Tampa Returns Home on Saturday.
