Tampa Bay Juniors Elite Wrap Up Strong Showcase Weekend with 3-0-1 Record

Charlotte, NC — The Tampa Bay Juniors Elite team put together an impressive showing over a busy weekend at the Southeast Showcase, finishing with three wins and an overtime loss to cap off a four-game stretch in three days.

Friday, October 12: TBJ 5 – Charleston Colonials 4
Tampa kicked off the weekend in thrilling fashion with a 5-4 win over the Charleston Colonials. Forward Ethan Palso had a breakout performance, recording a hat trick to lead the TBJ offense. Chandler Moore also played a key role, tallying a goal and three assists on the night. In net, Rocco Cairo made timely saves to secure the opening win.

Saturday, October 13 (Game 1): TBJ 3 – Charlotte Rush 2 (OT)

The Juniors kept their momentum going in a tightly contested matchup against the Charlotte Rush. After regulation ended in a 2-2 tie, Chandler Moore stepped up once again, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to seal the victory. Goaltender Ayden Bednarek earned the win with a strong performance between the pipes.

Saturday, October 13 (Game 2): TBJ 4 – Potomac Patriots 1

Later that same day, Tampa turned in a dominant effort against the Potomac Patriots. Reilly Furbeck found the back of the net twice to lead the attack, while Nolan Sloan delivered a steady performance in goal to pick up the win. The back-to-back victories gave the Juniors a 3-0 start to the weekend.

Sunday, October 14: TBJ 3 – Hampton Roads Whalers 4 (OT)

Tampa closed out the showcase with another hard-fought game, this time falling just short in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Hampton Roads Whalers. Yoshin Takahara, Logan Slezak, and Reilly Faucher each contributed goals, but a late push by Hampton Roads forced OT and handed TBJ their only blemish of the weekend.

Showcase Summary

The Juniors finished with a 3-0-1 record, remaining unbeaten in regulation and showcasing strong depth across the lineup. Offensive standouts included Ethan Palso, Chandler Moore, and Reilly Furbeck, while all three goaltenders — Cairo, Bednarek, and Sloan — delivered solid outings.

Tampa now turns its attention to the next stretch of the season, riding the momentum of a highly successful showcase showing.

Tampa Bay Juniors Premier Battle Hard at Southeast Showcase

Raleigh, NC — The Tampa Bay Juniors Premier team faced a tough schedule at the Southeast Showcase from October 12–14, finishing the weekend with a 1-3 record. Despite the results, the team showed flashes of offensive firepower and resilience, highlighted by an overtime victory against the Charlotte Rush.

Showcase Overview

Tampa opened the weekend with a loss to Charleston Colonials before finding their stride with a hard-fought overtime win over the Charlotte Rush.  There last 2 games would be losses to two of the top teams in the USPHL, the Potomac Patriots and Hampton Roads Whalers.

Leading the offense was forward Sam Moore, who put together an impressive individual performance over the weekend. Moore tallied four goals and one assist, proving to be a consistent threat each game. Owen Vachon also contributed with two goals and one assist, while Zack Myers chipped in with three assists from the back end.

Weekend Record: 1-3

Though the results weren’t what the team had hoped for, the Premier squad showed growth and grit against top competition. The overtime win showcased their ability to stay composed under pressure, and several players stepped up with strong performances.

The Tampa Bay Juniors Premier team will look to build off this experience and use it as motivation heading into the next phase of the season.
