TBJ Elite Dominate Jr. Cats in High‑Scoring USPHL Elite Match

Wesley Chapel, FL. The Tampa Bay Juniors Elite delivered a commanding 11‑3 victory over the Coral Springs Jr. Cats Elite in a thrilling and high‑energy USPHL Elite showdown Sunday night.

The Juniors opened the scoring early and maintained offensive pressure throughout the game. Tampa Bay’s balanced attack featured multiple contributors lighting the scoreboard.

TBJ was led by Ethan Palso and Yoshin Takahara who each had 2 goals and 3 assist with linemate Chandler Moore chipping in 1 goal and 3 assist.  Jason McDonald had 2 goals with Chase Koski and Drake Monroe each having 2 assists for the game.  Ayden Bednarek had 18 saves.

The Juniors quickly established dominance, taking a lead they never relinquished.

Physicality played a role in the game, with multiple penalties including fighting majors and roughing calls that shifted momentum at times. Tampa Bay’s ability to maintain composure during these periods contributed significantly to their win.

The win boosts Tampa Bay Juniors Elite’s standing in the USPHL Elite division and demonstrates their offensive firepower and resilience. 

Coral Springs Holds Off Late Surge to Edge Tampa Bay Juniors 5–4 in Season Opener

In a fast-paced USPHL Premier season opener, the Coral Springs Jr. Cats spoiled the Tampa Bay Juniors’ home debut with a gritty 5–4 victory Saturday evening at AdventHealth Center Ice.

Coral Springs capitalized on key special teams opportunities and timely scoring to overcome a strong offensive push from the Juniors, who mounted a late comeback attempt in the third period

Tampa Bay opened the scoring in the first period on a goal by Arsiyan Van de Brande at 8:57, giving the home team early momentum. Ben Kelly would score just four minutes later, giving TBJ Premier a 2-0 lead.

After Elliot Hernandez extended TBJ lead to 3-0, the second period saw the Jr. Cats tilt the ice in their favor, scoring back-to-back goals, including one from Kelton Bradshaw, who led the way offensively for Coral Springs.

A turning point came midway through the third when Isak Malmfors  netted a short-handed goal at 16:01, stretching Coral Springs’ lead to 4–3. Tampa Bay answered just over a minute later with a goal from Colin Lefebvre, cutting the deficit to one.

But the momentum swung back immediately. With just under three minutes to play, Reed Hinton scored the eventual game-winner for Coral Springs at 17:24.

Tampa Bay’s Konsta Hiltunen stopped 34 of 39 shots in a solid effort.
