This past weekend The Tampa Bay Juniors, Elite and Premier team, traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina for the Southeast showcase, facing off against the teams from the southeast division. There was a total of 8 games played this weekend. On Saturday, October 7th, TBJ Elite team played the Columbia Infantry and won 7-2. Lucas Gonzalez and Derek Aroyan both scored two goals and were both their first goals of the season! The TBJ Premier team played the Nashville Spartans and won 3-2. Ethan Dominy scored the first goal of the game, and Liam Lynn scored the final 2.
On Sunday, October 8th, the Elite team lost their first game of the season against the Charlotte Rush. The final score was 3-4. Two goals were scored by Richard Moskala, and the other scored by Kelan Jamison. The Premier team also took their first loss of the season against the Potomac Patriots. The final score was 2-11, with our goal scorers being Nathaniel Cheney in the first period, and Ludvig Johnson in the third. On this same day, the Premier team had a second game where they played the Carolina Jr Hurricanes. This game was another loss resulting in a final score of 1-6, with the goal scored by Daniel Cullen.
On Monday, October 9th, TBJ Elite had two games. Elite won the first game, 4-1, against the Richmond Generals, and lost the second game against the Carolina Jr Hurricanes, 0-2. The Premier team also played the Richmond Generals on this day and won 4-3!
Both of our teams won 2 out of their 4 games each, played this weekend. The Tampa Bay Juniors will continue to hustle this season and can't wait for the upcoming weekend in Fort Myers for theFlorida Cup!! Both teams play Palm Beach on Saturday. Sundays games depend on outcomes of TBJ games and Eels/Blades games, with winners each playing for the Florida Cup!
