Tampa Bay Juniors - USPHL

Three Tampa Bay Juniors Players headed overseas this week to compete for Roster spots in the World Junior Championships. Artjoms Kadnikovs, Milan Levecenk and Dawid Wawrzkiewicz alll wil have the chance to represent Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland respectively. 

Lithuania for Levcenko

Milan Levcenko will compete in the IIHF Group 2A division for Lithuania. After dominating in the Elite Division of the USPHL with 50 points in 29 games last season, Levcenko has mad the jump to Premier and now the international stage. The 2004 born center has accrued 15 points in 10 games this season. The Lithuanian team will kick off a five game stretch this Sunday against Great Britain. Other opponents include Spain, Croatia, Romania and the Netherlands. 

Wawrzkiewicz for Poland

Dawid Wawrzkiewicz will compete for the final spots on Poland's U20 Group 1B roster. Wawrzkiewicz is another 04 center that has mad the jump from elite to the international play. Last season he averaged over a point per game despite limited playing time due to a lower body injury. This is included 2 goals in a do or die game two of Tampa Bay's playoff series which they would eventually go on to win. Fully healed he has picked up 6 points in his 19 games played this season with premier. Starting on Sunday Poland will also start a five game set against Estonia, Ukraine, Japan, Italy, and South Korea. 

Arty to Latvia

Artjoms Kadnikovs left Monday headed for Latvia's 40-man camp. Latvia competes at the highest division of the IIHF and would go head to head with opponents such as the United States, Canada, Finland, Slovakia, and Switzerland. Kadnikovs now in his second year at the premier level has been a staple on the Tampa Bay Blue line since he joined the team. A good skater and a Calm presence defensively, Kadnikovs is also a threat offensively. Posting 20 points in 30 games last year, he has 3 goals and 6 assist this year.
