The Tampa Bay Juniors are proud to announce that 2002 born forward, Jonah Mortenson, has signed a Tender agreement with the NCDC Twin City Thunder for 2022-2023 Season.

Mortenson, a Champlin, MN native, has had a successful season with TBJ thus far, amassing 30 points in 25 games. His 10 goals and 20 assists combined with 20 hits and a 59% corsi rating has certainly earned him attention from several schools, and now Twin City of the NCDC.

"Tampa has been great for developing my game and overall becoming a better hockey player and I’m very excited to take what I’ve learned here and apply it to playing in Twin City next year," said Mortenson. "I knew coming into this year what I needed to improve upon, and Tampa has a track record of being able to develop players both physically and mentally. It was an easy decision to further my career here, and I'm excited to see the hard work paying off".

"Jonah is someone I have watched for a couple of years."  Remarked Head Coach Garrett Strot.  "He committed to coming down if things didn't work out in tier 2 this year and he has worked on what he needs too to get to that level.  He is a big strong forward with a great work ethic.  He will be an impact player in the NCDC!"

TBJ Premier has won 6 of its last 7 games and sits in second place in the Florida Division.  They play the First place Florida Eels this weekend in a home and home series.  Friday 1/21 8:00 pm at AdventHealth Center Ice and at the Skatium in Fort Myers Sunday 1/23 at 1:00 pm.
