The Tampa Bay Juniors are proud to announce that forward Colton Sipperley has committed to play hockey at SUNY Canton starting this January.   The Kangaroos are an independent NCAA Division III program that plays out of Canton, NY.

"This is a great opportunity for Colton," said Head Coach Garrett Strot.  "Even though we will loose him mid season, for him to get started and gain the experience of college hockey without losing a year of eligibility was to good to pass up."

Sipperley, '00 from Tampa, FL, came to TBJ this year following a year in the NCDC with South Shore and New Hampshire.  In 14 games played with Tampa he had 7 goals and 5 assist for 12 points.  Colton ended up coming back to Tampa in February and played an additional 10 games posting an additional 5 goals and 8 assist.

"My time at TBJ was nothing but a great experience."  Said Sipperley.  "The coaches run a great program and pushed me every day to become a better hockey player.  It was great to live at home and to play at a high level of hockey and use the great facility (Advent Health Center Ice) that TBJ has.  Without the coaches and trainers here, I wouldn't be where I am today as a player."

"Sip will be tough to replace." continued Strot.  "He is a very skilled player who the coaches there are very high on and expect him to contribute right away."

Colton will report to Canton in early January as Division III College hockey will start their season.

The Tampa Bay Juniors want to wish Colton and his family the best of luck as he continues his hockey career!!
