The Tampa Bay Juniors are proud to announce that Defenseman Dan Duncan has committed to play hockey next season at ACHA Division 1 Iowa State University.  Iowa State is one of the premier ACHA D1 schools in the nation and finished 2nd in their National Tournament in 2019.

Duncan, from Gainesville, FL, came to the Tampa Bay Juniors back in 2015 and played in 229 games over his career!  Dan was captain of both the Elite team and the Premier team during his time with TBJ.

"I am very proud of Dan and his opportunity to play at a program like Iowa State."  said Head Coach Garrett Strot.  "Too see how far he developed over the years showed you the type of work ethic and dedication he has.  The first 2 years he made the 3 hour drive from Gainesville to Ellenton and never missed a practice!"

"Over my career with the Tampa Bay Juniors, the coaching and atmosphere was unmatched."  said Duncan.  "TBJ has been my home the past 5 years and has helped me develop into the player and person I am today.  Even as I look forward into the future, I will always remember and cherish the memories and relationships I've built within the organization."

"His leadership will be missed," continued Strot.  "I can't thank Dan enough for what he brought to the organization."

"I want too thank my coaches, Brett, Garrett, and Rett for making my junior career exceptional!!' added Dan.

The Tampa Bay Juniors wish Dan and his family the best as he continues his hockey journey!
