Former NHL Defenseman Filip Kuba Joins TBJ Staff

Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors Hockey Club is proud to announce that former Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Filip Kuba is joining the coaching staff!  

Kuba, drafted by the Florida Panthers at the 1995 NHL Draft, played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League from 1998-2013.  He played with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers, appearing in 836 games, recording 70 goals and 333 points.  In 2004, Kuba was selected as an NHL All-Star as a member of the Wild.  He was also a part of Team Czech Republic for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, and the 2010 winter games in Vancouver.

"We are very excited to add Filip to our staff," said Head Coach Garrett Strot.  "His experience and knowing what it takes to get to the highest level will be invaluable to both the staff and players."

The Tampa Bay Juniors play in the USPHL Premier and Elite Junior A Levels.
