Tampa Bay Junior Captain Daniel Duncan, a 5 year veteran of the program, competed in the final home game of his junior career this past weekend. Duncan, a Fairport NY native, played in his 215th regular season game for TBJ on Sunday. Duncan, affectionately referred to as the Muffin Man or Dunctonious, has been a consummate captain within the organization for 3 seasons; making a daily 2 hour drive each way to practice in his first two seasons his dedication became quickly apparent.
With a handful of College options, we expect Duncan to make a decision and ultimately announce his commitment soon. Daniel, thank you for an incredible 5 years of sacrifice, dedication, commitment, and unwavering work ethic.

Premier- The Tampa Bay Juniors came into the weekend with the chance to clinch second place in the Florida division, and they claimed that spot as they exploded for a 17 goal weekend against the Atlanta Madhatters. Saturday’s game saw 6 different goal scorers, and 12 players record at least a point. Keegan Johnson (2g 1a), Zach Puterbaugh (3a), Aaron Frenkel (1g 3a) lead the charge, while Connor Reed and Hogan Williams each added a pair of goals.

Milton Rosen gets the Win in the net with 19 shots on 20 saves.

Sunday was more of the same effort, as TBJ capped off the Sweep with a 8-2 win. Aaron Frenkel added another goal and 3 assist effort, while Sam Adler, Hogan Williams, and Keegan Johnson each added 3 points of their own. The power play scored on 2 of their 3 opportunities on the evening.

Kade Kujawski picked up the win with 24 saves on 25 shots, before Shane Miller stood between the pipes stopping 13 of 14 shots faced.

Elite- Tampa came into this weekend knowing that this would be the same team the face in the first round of the playoffs. The goal was to make a statement, and a statement was surely made with a 16-3 goal differential over 2 games.

Saturday- Ronan Keenan opened the scoring just 78 seconds into the game, on assists from Scheer and Bahula. Justin Walker would add a goal, before Atlanta slipped a pair of crazy bounces past Evan Spinella in the TBJ net. Unhappy with a tied game, Tampa fired off 4 unanswered second period goals to push the lead to 6-2. Atlanta found a response in the 3rd period, before Nevada Woodring fired home a goal to finish off the scoring at 7-3.

Sunday-TBJ came out flying in the first period, grabbing a 4-0 lead on goals from Ronan Keenan, Bryson Uhrig, Matt Menkhaus, and Kevin Holman. Unsatisfied with a 4 goal lead, TBJ exploded for 5 more in the second period. Colin Farley(2), Ryan Bahula, Bryson Uhrig, and Ronan Keenan each added goals in the period. The 9-0 lead would be all TBJ would aim for, as they put the game in shutdown mode in the 3rd, to help Alex Higginbotham secure the 24 save shutout.
