Stanley Lucas, a rookie for the Tampa Bay Juniors, just wrapped up a 9 game point streak, amassing an incredible  22 points in that time. While the streak came to an end, there’s still one game left in the month of January to see what he can push his monthly total to. We caught up with Stanley to get his take on the season thus far:

“The season has been great we had some ups and downs but overall it’s been a really fun year. Playing for TBJ has been a lot different than any other team I’ve played for; visualizing and the emphasis on the mental side of the game is something I’ve never really been taught elsewhere. The mental and physical preparation is unrivaled.”

When asked about his favorite part of playing in Florida, Stanley added “My favorite thing about Tampa has hands down been the weather and the atmosphere at the rink. Being able to go to the beach in January after practice is a pretty awesome plus!”

Stanley’s play in all three zones has garnered attention from colleges and tier 2 teams around the country. With his 53 points and a team high plus 35 thus far, it’s easy to understand the attraction.
