Lucas Named Player of the Week
Tampa Bay Juniors Premier Forward, Stanley Lucas, has been named souther region Player of the Week.
The Juniors went 2-2 at the USPHL Winter Showcase, earning big wins over the Springfield Pics and Steele County Blades, but falling to the New York Aviators and Twin City Thunder.
On the scoresheet for each of these contests was Lucas, a ‘00 out of Edwardsville, Ill. He started with an assist against the Pics before posting a 2-2-4 line against the Blades in the Sunday morning game. He added another 1-3-4 against the Thunder that evening.
He left Monday after adding one final goal against the Aviators.
All told, he scored four goals and six assists for a 10-point weekend in Massachusetts. Overall, Lucas now has 20 goals and 41 points in 30 games for the Juniors.
