Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors are proud to announce that Luke Zimmermann has committed to play hockey at Anna Maria College. The Amcats, out of Paxton, MA, are a NCAA Division III program beginning its second season.
“I cannot be happier for Luke.” Said Head Coach Garrett Strot. “He played three seasons for us who’s a very unselfish player and has a great work ethic. He’s fast and will play physical, traits that will give him an opportunity to play right away at Anna Maria.”
“I just want to thank the TBJ organization for giving me an opportunity to play the 3 years I was there.” Said Luke, “Brett and Garrett taught me a lot throughout the years and I had learned what it takes to be a hockey player. Playing with TBJ had prepared me to play Junior A hockey in Canada and now Division 3 NCAA for Anna Maria. It was a fun experience and I made a lot of good memories along the way. “
Luke played for Tampa from 2015-18 and will be joining former TBJ Alum David Tmej with the Amcats. Zimmermann is the 18th Tampa Bay Junior Player to commit to a College for the 2019-20 season.
