Schaeffer Commits to ACHA Division I Alabama

Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors Hockey Club is proud to announce that Premier Forward Tyler Schaeffer has committed to play hockey next season with ACHA Division I University of Alabama.  Alabama, part of the SEC, is an independent having moved to the Division I level in 2015.

"Thank you to the Tampa Bay Juniors for an amazing season and year!"  said Schaeffer.  "I would like to thank my coach, Garrett Strot, for everything he has done for me including the incredible patience and training it took me to get back on top of my game."

Tyler, from St. Loius, MO, led Tampa in scoring this season with 26 goals and 20 assist for 46 points and was named to the Southern Division All Star Team.

"Tyler was a big time player for us," said Head Coach Garrett Strot.  "He has a tremendous work ethic and plays with determination.  He also posses a heavy shot and will definitley step into Alabama's line up and be an offensive factor."

"The training and structure of the Tampa Bay Juniors has allowed me to improve my game,"  added Tyler, "It has helped me compete at my highest level.  I want to thank TBJ for a great season!"

The Tampa Bay Juniors want to wish Tyler and his family the best of luck as he continues on his Academic and Hockey Journey. Roll Tide!!!

Schaeffer becomes the 11th player from the 2018-19 season to commit to a college.
