The USPHL South Region, consisting of the Southeast and Florida Divisions, is pleased to announce its 2018-19 season All-Star Selections, voted on by the coaches of the two divisions. Coaches could not vote for their own players on the ballots.

The South Region named one Premier and one Elite All-Star team of 12 forwards, seven defensemen and three goalies.

The Tampa Bay Juniors had three players named to the team.  Forward Zach Parker and Defenseman Kevin Holman were named to the Elite All-Star team and Forward Tyler Schaeffer was named to the Premier All-Star team.  Congratulations to all three!!!

Kevin Holman (‘01/Tampa, Fla.) - Tampa Bay Juniors

Holman helped the Juniors to capture their Florida Division championship, and with it, a Nationals berth, by leading all USPHL Elite defensemen with 50 points, the only player at his position to hit that mark. His 17 goals were good for second in the league, as were his 33 assists.

Zachary Parker (‘99/Wesley Chapel, Fla.) - Tampa Bay Juniors

A homegrown product for the Juniors, who are based in Wesley Chapel, Parker is a third-year Tampa player who finished 10th in both assists (38) and points (65). He also had 27 goals for the season while playing all 44 regular season games for Tampa. In the postseason, as Tampa made its run to the Elite Championship game, he scored three points for the Juniors.

Tyler Schaeffer (‘99/Edwardsville, Ill.) - Tampa Bay Juniors

Schaeffer made the move from the North Region to the South in 2018-19 and he was a great fit on the Juniors, leading the team with 23 goals and 19 assists, playing in 39 games.

Schaefer scored four power play goals and added a couple shorthanded goals for the Juniors and three of his goals were game-winners. The Juniors were eliminated in a tough three-game playoff series, but Schaeffer chipped in three goals and an assist in that stretch.
